Sagility Opens Its Fifth Delivery Center in Jamaica

Sagility, formerly known as Hinduja Global Services (HGS), expanded its operations in Jamaica with the opening of a new call center in the city of Angels, St. Catherine.

The new site, which has a floor space of 75,000 square feet, was built with an investment of US$7 million and can reportedly accommodate 1,000 employees. The delivery center is expected to be up and running by the end of 2023.

This is Sagility’s fifth site in Jamaica, where it is already one of the largest private-sector employers. The Bangalore-based BPO firm provides a range of services, including customer service, technical support and claims processing, with a majority of its clients based in the United States.

“Jamaica has a strong talent pool and a favorable business environment, which makes it an ideal location for our business,” said Rajath Ramakrishna, CEO of Sagility.

Sagility first launched operations in Jamaica in 2012 with only 55 employees. Today, its workforce in the Caribbean country has grown to 1,700. Thanks to its operations in Jamaica, the company was won a large number of clients in the US, particularly when former President Barack Obama launched the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
